Love Nutrient Ngon Vietnamese Eatery @ Dear Lane, Georgetown, Penang.

One of the best brunch spots at the heartland of Georgetown- Jeeves is closed. H5N1 novel management took over too relaunched the house equally a novel Vietnamese restaurant- Ngon. Not much has changed on the interior but the card was completely revamped. The card is non big, nosotros were quite disappointed that at that spot were a handful of items were non available on our visit. One of the quintessential items for Vietnamese nutrient spots- Beef Pho... was non available either (on our visit). Prices are of standard-average but the overall dining sense signals weak pulling factor, they volition postulate to come upwards out amongst to a greater extent than promising items if they wishing to produce well.

Banh Xeo (Rm 13.50)

Goi Cuon (Rm 9.90)

Banh Xeo is mutual but non many could produce it correct (not fifty-fifty the i I had at Ben Tanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City), many could seem to live on also greasy but nosotros were glad that Ngon's was alright. It was served together amongst Stir Fried Minced Pork too only about Shrimps amongst cooked Sprouts (some serve them raw). We enjoyed it amongst the sugariness too spicy Vietnamese dipping sauce too only about fresh Thai Basil leaves. Goi Cuon, Vietnamese Spring Rolls were disappointingly average. The texture was alright too the filling was criterion but it lacked of the X ingredient to print us. Also, nosotros idea the toll could live on cheaper considering a serving component of three Spring Rolls only. Nevertheless, nosotros were happy that ii types of sauces were served to us- Hoisin sauce too the Nuoc Cham

Bun Thit Bo Xao (Rm 11.50)

For a less-sinful meal, campaign Bun Thit Bo Xao... Grilled Beef served amongst crunchy greens too Vermicelli Noodles, doused over Vietnamese sugariness too spicy sauce. The beautiful business office of the dish was the generously added juicy greens too the caramelized Onions for the gentle sweetness. The Beef's seasoning was spot-on but the texture could live on to a greater extent than tender, a comforting dish that I would non hear to consume on a regular basis.

Bun Rieu (Rm 12)
